Listen first
Your first visit starts with a conversation: what hurts, what you can no longer do, what you have already tried and what you want to get back to. Dr. Shaw takes notes in your words, not just in diagnosis codes.

Sixteen years of careful examinations, clear explanations and care that fits around real life.
Dr. Becca Shaw, DC has spent 16 years helping people get out of pain and back to what they love. She is known for unhurried first visits: a full history, a thorough examination, and a written plan that says what she found, what she recommends and how long it should take. Her practice focuses on neck and back pain, headaches, disc problems and sciatica, and prenatal and family care. She founded Lakeshore Demo Chiropractic in 2015 after a decade in multidisciplinary clinics, where she learned to work alongside physicians, physical therapists and massage therapists rather than in place of them.
Find the cause, fix it, and keep it fixed.

Orthopedic, neurological and movement testing, plus imaging only when it will change the plan. You see what she sees, and you leave knowing what is causing the problem and whether chiropractic is the right fit.
Gentle, specific adjustments, and decompression or soft-tissue work where it helps, with a short home routine that fits your day. The plan says how many visits to expect and what progress should look like.
Regular re-checks against your first-visit findings. If you are not improving the way we expected, Dr. Shaw changes course or refers you to the right specialist — care continues only while it is helping.

Outside the office, Dr. Shaw is usually on a trail. She has lived in Oakville since 2009 and still counts the climb up Oakville Mountain as the best way to start a Saturday. She volunteers at local health fairs and gives free talks on back care for new parents and on setting up a home office that does not hurt.
Her approach is simple: listen first, examine carefully, explain everything, and never recommend care she would not recommend to her own family.
