Movement screen
Every athlete starts with a full movement screen: how you squat, hinge, land and rotate, side to side. Dr. Ebberlein looks for the weak link that keeps loading the injured area, not just the spot that hurts.

A former collegiate runner who treats athletes of every level — and helps them stay in the game.
Dr. Sam Ebberlein, DC joined Lakeshore Demo Chiropractic in 2019 and has nine years of experience in sports and performance care. A former collegiate distance runner, he knows how frustrating it is when an injury keeps coming back. His visits combine adjustments with soft-tissue work, movement screening and a short, specific exercise plan, so patients understand why the problem happened and what keeps it from returning. He works with runners, youth and high school athletes, CrossFit and lifting athletes, and active adults who simply want to move without pain.
Find the weak link, treat it, and train it.
Every athlete starts with a full movement screen: how you squat, hinge, land and rotate, side to side. Dr. Ebberlein looks for the weak link that keeps loading the injured area, not just the spot that hurts.
Targeted adjustments and soft-tissue work to restore joint motion and calm irritated tissue, so training can continue in a modified form instead of stopping completely.
Three or four specific exercises, progressed every visit, that fix the pattern behind the injury. Short enough to do before practice or a run, so it actually gets done.
A clear return-to-sport plan with milestones, then a check-in schedule that keeps you training through the season. The goal is to finish the season — and the next one — healthy.

Away from the office, Dr. Sam is still a runner. He leads a free beginner running group on Saturday mornings, volunteers at high school cross-country meets around Halton Region, and is training for his next trail ultramarathon. He believes the best treatment plan is the one a patient can actually stick to, so every plan he writes fits around school, work and family.
