The Raphael 707 is a multi-function chiropractic table made in South Korea. One table handles motorized drop adjusting, automatic flexion and lumbar traction, so your care can move from one technique to the next without changing tables.

Three tools in one table

Drop adjusting: the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and pelvic sections each have a motorized drop. A section is raised slightly, and when the adjustment is delivered it drops a short distance, which lets your chiropractor use a lighter thrust. This is the approach used in the Thompson drop technique.

Flexion and traction: the table flexes the lower body in measured steps and applies a gentle lengthwise pull to the lower back in small increments. The headpiece also moves through flexion, side bending and rotation for neck work.

What a visit on the Raphael 707 is like

You lie face down or face up on padded sections that adjust to your height and build. The table rises and lowers so getting on and off is easy, and settings are made on a touchscreen at the side.

Drops make a short clunk, which is the table, not your spine. Flexion and traction feel like a slow, rhythmic stretch. A hand control lets you stop the table at any time.

Who it is used for

Because it combines adjusting, flexion and traction, the Raphael 707 suits care plans focused on how the spine moves: restricted mid and upper back, forward head posture, postural strain, facet joint pain, neck-related headaches and scoliosis management.

For a disc problem that needs dedicated decompression, a decompression table such as the HillDT or DRX9000 may come first, with the Raphael 707 used as you recover to restore movement.

What the research shows

Drop-table adjusting and flexion-distraction are established chiropractic techniques with research supporting short-term improvement in back and neck pain for many people. The table itself does not change those findings; it makes the techniques more consistent and easier to repeat.

No table corrects posture or scoliosis on its own. Lasting change depends on your exercises, daily habits and regular reassessment, and we track those with you.

Safety and screening

Every new patient has a history and examination first, with imaging when it is warranted. Drops, flexion and traction are each matched to what that exam finds, and some people are better served by gentler options.

Questions patients ask

What people want to know about it

Is the Raphael 707 a decompression table?

It includes lumbar traction and flexion, so it can provide decompression-style care for the lower back. Its main strengths are drop adjusting and flexion. For disc problems that need dedicated decompression, a table such as the HillDT may be the better first choice.

Does the drop part of the table hurt?

No. The section drops a short distance and makes a clunk, but the force is light. Many people who dislike twisting adjustments prefer drop adjusting for that reason.

Can it help with scoliosis or posture?

It can be part of a scoliosis or posture plan because it allows side bending, flexion and targeted adjusting. On its own it does not straighten a curve. Results depend on your exercises, habits and regular reassessment.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in. You stay fully dressed for treatment on the table.
